Using Milepost

You may use Milepost only if you can legally enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You agree to provide accurate information, protect access credentials and invite links, and use the service only for lawful purposes.

Your content

You keep ownership of the routes, text, photos, profile information, and other content you submit. You give Milepost a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the features you request. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backups, legal requirements, and copies made by people with whom you shared it.

You must have the rights needed to upload and share your content. Do not publish content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, deceptive, invasive of privacy, infringing, or harmful.

Social and public features

You control whether a roadbook is private, shared with friends, unlisted, or public where those options are available. You are responsible for what you share and who receives invite or unlisted links. We may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with law, or protect the service.

Generated content and third-party services

Some Milepost features may use automated systems to help create stories, images, summaries, or other material. Generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to content generated for others, so review them before relying on or publishing them. Milepost may also rely on third-party services such as maps, vehicle information, hosting, storage, and Apple platform services. Their separate terms may apply.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Milepost, interfere with its operation, access it through unauthorized means, evade limits, probe security, introduce malicious code, scrape the service at scale, impersonate others, or use it to violate another person’s rights. Do not use location or social features to stalk, threaten, or endanger anyone.

Changes, suspension, and termination

Milepost will evolve, and features may change, pause, or end. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the service. Where practical, we will provide notice.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milepost is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Recorded routes, locations, speeds, weather, statistics, generated content, and other outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Milepost and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, opportunities, or use arising from the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in California will have jurisdiction except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as Milepost changes. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them. Questions can be sent to hello@milepost.app.
